The St John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand announces with much sorrow and paschal hope the repose in the Lord of one of its distinguished professors, Father George Massouh. Fr George is a graduate of the St Serge Orthodox seminary in Paris and the Pontifical Institute for Arabic Islamic Studies in Rome, and he specialized in Christian-Muslim studies. He passed away early in the morning of Sunday March 25, 2018, on the feast of the Annunciation.

The Balamand family offers its sincere condolences to the Massouh family, and the Archdiocese of Mount Lebanon where he served as parish priest, praying to God to give our beloved Fr George repose with saints, where there is no pain, sickness, or sorrow.
