لصاحب القداسة إيريناوس، بطريرك صربيا، الكلّيّ الطوبى
إلى معهد القدّيس يوحنّا الدمشقيّ اللاهوتيّ في جامعة البلمند

 ضمن برنامج زيارته السلاميّة إلى كنيسة أنطاكية، في يوم الأربعاء الواقع فيه الخامس من شهر حزيران 2019، قام صاحب القداسة إيريناوس، بطريرك صربيا، ومعه صاحب الغبطة يوحنّا العاشر، بطريرك أنطاكية وسائر المشرق، الكلِّيَّي الطوبى والجزيلَي الاحترام، بزيارة معهد القدّيس يوحنّا الدمشقيّ اللاهوتيّ، حيث التقيا فيه بلقاء أبويّ عددًا من الأساقفة والآباء الأجلاء، وإدارة معهد اللاهوت وأساتذته وطلابه.

بدأ اللقاء بكلمة ترحيبيّة ألقاها قدس المتقدّم في الكهنة الأب بورفيريوس جرجي، عميد المعهد. ومن ثمّ تحدّث غبطته عن الصعوبات والأزمات التي عصفت بالكنيسة الصربيّة، وعن التحدّيات التي تواجهها الكنيسة في ظلّ العولمة التي نعيشها اليوم، مؤكّدًا على أنّ الكنيسة ستبقى ثابتة في إيمانها العميق بالله. كما عبّر، أيضًا، عن مدى إعجابه بكنوز الكنيسة الأنطاكيّة وإيمان شعبها القويّ بالرغم من كلّ الصعوبات التي تعانيها بلادهم.
وختامًا، تمنّى غبطته للطلبة النجاح الدائم والمثابرة في التحصيل العلميّ والروحيّ ليكونوا خدّامًا حقيقيّين في حقل الربّ.

The Historical Visit of
His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia
to the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology

Within the program of his irenic visit to the Church of Antioch, His Ηoliness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia visited the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand, on June 5, 2019. He was accompanied by His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East. During their visit, His Holiness and His Beatitude met a number of bishops, priests, faculty and staff members, and seminarians.
In the meeting, the Dean, Fr. Porphyrios Georgi, gave a welcoming speech. Then, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej spoke about the difficulties and crises that afflicted the Serbian Church. He also presented the challenges that face the Church nowadays in light of globalization. He stressed that the Church will remain steadfast in Her profound faith in God. He also expressed his admiration towards the treasures of the Church of Antioch, and the strong faith of Her people, despite all the difficulties experienced by their country.
At the end, His Holiness prayed for the continuous success and dedication in the academic and spiritual life of the seminarians, inviting them to be true servants of the Lord.
