Adib Saab is a renowned philosopher and poet who has authored several books in the philosophy of religion, a discipline he pioneered in the Arab intellectual sphere, as well as works in cultural criticism and collections of poetry. A graduate of the American University of Beirut and the University of London, with degrees in Letters, Education, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, Adib Saab has served as Professor of Philosophy at the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology (University of Balamand) since its founding period.
His wife, Hélène Damaa Saab, is a graduate of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. She has been a Professor of Sociology at the Lebanese University for decades, where she currently supervises doctoral dissertations. She authored a monograph in French about Anfeh, her hometown in North Lebanon, entitled Fenêtre sur la Méditerranée, as well as scholarly papers published in specialized journals.
أديب صعب فيلسوف وشاعر عربي مرموق، وضع عدداً من الكتب في فلسفة الدين، وهو حقل فكري أدخله إلى الثقافة العربية بمؤلفاته وتعليمه في معهد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي الجامعي في البلمند منذ مرحلته التأسيسية. خرّيج الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت وجامعة لندن في الآداب والتربية والفلسفة والدراسات الدينية.
إيلين دمعة صعب، زوجته وشريكته في تأسيس المركز، خرّيجة معهد الدراسات العليا للعلوم الاجتماعية (EHESS) في باريس. أُستاذة لعلم الاجتماع في الجامعة اللبنانية طوال عقود، حيث تشرف على أُطروحات دكتوراه في اختصاصها. مؤلِّفة كتاب بالفرنسية، "نافذة على المتوسط"، وهو دراسة اجتماعية لبلدتها أنفة شمال لبنان، مع عدد كبير من الأبحاث المنشورة في مجلات مختصة.
